MP Al-Saloum and Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Akhbar Al-Youm" discuss Egyptian-Bahraini cooperation

A forum for business and partnership between small enterprises.. and an exhibition of Bahraini products in Cairo

His Excellency MP Ahmed Sabah Al-Saloum, Chairman of the Arab Federation for Trade Facilitation and Risk Management, Chairman of the Bahrain Society for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises, met with His Excellency the journalist Mr. Ahmed Galal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian "Akhbar Al-Youm" Foundation, which is one of the oldest journalistic institutions in the Middle East. This came on the sidelines of the activities of the 9th Economic Conference of the "Akhbar Al-Youm" Foundation, under the patronage of His Excellency the Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and attended by an elite group of ministers, ambassadors, representatives, senior officials and businessmen. This was under the slogan "Industry and Investment.. Start, Take Off" and the conference included 4 specialized sessions to discuss Egyptian and regional investment issues.

The meeting between the two parties discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt through the exchange of economic activities. A fruitful discussion took place on ways to support trade and investment relations and activities of the exhibitions sector, and the opportunity to hold a Bahraini week in Cairo that includes a number of activities, most notably a business forum between investors on both sides, and an exhibition of the most important and prominent Bahraini products that are popular in Egypt.

MP Al-Saloum said during the meeting, "The Egyptian market is a huge market that includes more than 105 million consumers, and opening windows for Bahraini products in a market of this size is a great success for any Bahraini company, whether small or large. We hope to create real business partnerships through serious businessmen and women who work. The opportunities are already there and waiting for those who seize them. We, as an Arab Union for Trade Facilitation, will do our utmost to remove any obstacles to Arab-Arab trade exchange and achieve the maximum possible benefit from our natural and human resources." Mr. Ahmed Galal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Akhbar El-Youm Foundation, stressed that the conference, which concluded its activities a few days ago, emphasized the importance of investment and trade cooperation between Arab countries. We believe that what links the political leadership in both Egypt, led by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, must be translated into fruitful trade and economic relations that achieve the interests of the two brotherly peoples and open doors of livelihood and decent job opportunities in both countries. We welcome our brothers from Bahrain to work and invest in Egypt. There are many attractive sectors, such as small industries, real estate, tourism, education, entertainment industry, and sports investment as well. We will try to open the way to bring the visions of investors on both sides closer together, hoping that the desired results will be achieved as soon as possible.

Mr. Ahmed Galal presented the shield of the Akhbar El-Youm Foundation to His Excellency Representative Al-Saloum in appreciation of his rich participation in the activities of the economic conference in Cairo, and in keenness to consolidate relations between the Foundation and the Union.

The meeting was attended by journalist Mr. Jamal Hussein, a member of the Board of Directors of Akhbar El-Youm, and media figure Mr. Karim Hamed and Bahraini businessman Salah Ali.
